What are your specialities and areas of interest?

Romantic love and relationships have always fascinated me, so it’s no surprise that I focus solely on working with couples and relationships. With over 10 years of therapeutic experience, I continue to learn the latest research, treatment approaches, and techniques in the field.

Within this specialty, I’ve helped clients with a multitude of issues, particularly in recovering from infidelity and betrayal, and I have extensive experience working with non-traditional relationships. I’ve also been interviewed by media outlets for expert commentary on topics like engagement anxiety, toxic relationship dynamics, high conflict, and navigating career changes while in a relationship.

What sparks the most joy for you as the therapist?

What sparks the most joy for me as a therapist is seeing couples who were on the brink of separation turn their relationship around and come out thriving! Witnessing the reverberating effects of the new relationship dynamic on not only the individuals but also the entire family system is incredibly rewarding. It’s amazing to see lives change!

How would you describe your therapy style?

I use an eclectic style in therapy, integrating several modalities, including Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I help couples with both preventative and interventive approaches to their relationship dynamics, and I address every situation with an open mind. Authenticity and humility are at the core of successful treatment—not just for the clients, but for me as the therapist as well.

What is your favorite quote and why?

My favorite quote relating to the practice of couples therapy is by Harville Hendrix: “We are born in relationship, we are wounded in relationship, and we can be healed in relationship.”

When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?

When I’m not working, I love relaxing with my family and friends. I also enjoy traveling, reading, hiking, and playing music!
