What are your specialities and areas of interest?
I specialize in supporting women and men who are navigating or recovering from destructive relationships, spiritual abuse, and narcissistic abuse. I also work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and those healing from childhood emotional and/or sexual abuse. I am trained in EMDR and integrate it with an Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach to provide comprehensive trauma therapy.
What sparks the most joy for you as the therapist?
As a therapist, my greatest joy comes from seeing my clients feel truly heard and understood. When they begin to relax into our sessions, open up to the process, and develop deeper self-awareness, it’s incredibly fulfilling. I find real happiness in watching their demeanor soften as they start to make meaningful connections and gain insight into themselves.
How would you describe your therapy style?
My therapy style is person-centered and deeply relational. I strive to create a safe, empowering space where clients can explore and heal emotional wounds with empathy and validation. This foundation allows them to feel supported and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. I frequently draw from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my approach.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received is to practice being fully present with others, always starting with empathy and validation before offering any advice or counsel.
When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?
In my free time, I’m usually spending time with my five kids, hiking with a friend, reading a good book, sipping coffee, sitting on the beach, or walking my dog. I love it even more when I can combine any of these activities!
