What are your specialities and areas of interest?
My specialties and preferred modalities of treatment include evidence-based, trauma-informed practices; including CBT, EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and nervous system regulation through the mind-body connection. My ultimate goal is to help clients align in mind, body, and spirit through tailored treatment approaches. My areas of interest include working with youth, teens, families, and individuals experiencing challenges related to trauma, changes, loss, and mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Whether you are a teen navigating the challenges of growing up and finding your identity or a new mom who is dealing with the complexities of your new role, I am here to help you through the tides of change.
What sparks the most joy for you as the therapist?
The moments when I see a client shift towards growth and change. It is the most rewarding and humbling experience to witness our clients’ healing and making lasting changes to connect with the best version of themselves. It makes my heart happy to see it all.
How would you describe your therapy style?
My therapeutic style is deeply rooted in humanistic principles, emphasizing the individuality of each client. I approach therapy with authenticity, allowing the therapy space to help clients genuinely express themselves and feel emotionally connected. I believe in meeting clients exactly where they are in their journey, providing support that is both compassionate and uplifting. My practice is built on the idea that every client deserves to be seen, heard, and supported in a way that honors their unique experiences and needs.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Approach life with curiosity. Instead of getting caught up in routines and trying to figure everything out, treat each day like an adventure. Being curious keeps things interesting, helps you learn, and makes even the ordinary feel a little more fun. When you stay curious, you never know what awesome surprises life has in store for you!
What is your favorite quote and why?
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination”
-The ever so wise Carl Rogers
When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?
Outside of the therapy office, you’ll most likely find me on my surfboard enjoying the beautiful ocean and waves that the San Diego coastline has to offer or exploring a new hiking/camping spot. I fill my cup up by making new memories with my two young boys and partner, traveling, and spending time in nature.
